This is one of my favorite photos that I snapped from the Trockner Steg. On the left you have the Gandegg T-bar lift and on the right Furggsattel Gletscherbahn that was closed due to wind at the time I took the photo ....

Twin peaks in the middle - on the right is the Täschorn (4491m) and on the left Dom (Dom de Mischabel - 4545m). Even though Dom is not the highest peak in Switzerland, it is the highest mountain completely in Swiss territory ....

This is the view of the village from the Matterhorn Express Cabin on the way to the Furi station. Both Täschorn and Dom de Mischabel can be seen again on this picture ....

Weisshorn is yet another mighty mountain that can be found in the Valais canton. Weisshorn is a 3 ridged pyramid with its peak at 4506m! Pennine Alps do really have impressive peaks ....

Here we have Dent Blanche - 4356m. If you look from higher placed places around the ski area of Zermatt it can be seen as the first peak left of Matterhorn ....

This is a view of the Gorner glacier with the peak of Cima di Iazzi (3804m) hiding little bit left of the centre ....

Finnaly the almighty Monte Rosa (4634m)! The highest point on the Monte Rosa is Dufourspitze - on the right, which is the highest peak in Switzerland, and the second highest peak of the Alps ....

View from Trockner Steg - on the very left Rimpfischhorn (4199m) Strahlhorn (4190m) - then there is a “gap” in the middle with the mentioned Gorner glacier and finally the Monte Rosa on the right ....

Another view from Trockner Steg - on the very left Weisshorn and on the right twins Dom & Täschorn. Zermatt down the valley and the Jungfrau region far in the middle hidden in clouds with one peak visible ....
